Voting in Massachusetts

 Hi Massachusetts!

We are nearly three weeks away from Election Day on November 8th, 2022! It is so extremely important that you can vote, and there are a few ways to do that.

1. Check your registration at Voter Registration Status | NASS

2. Are you worried about going to the polls? Are you worried about missing the deadline to vote in person on November 8th? Check out this link to apply for a mail-in ballot: Absentee & Early Voting | NASS

The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is November 1st, 2022. 

Early voting is also available in Massachusetts starting October 22nd through November 4th, 2022. To find a polling location near you, follow the instructions on Find Your Polling Place | NASS.

3. Know your rights as a voter. In several states across this country voter's rights are being attacked daily, in several different ways.

            a. You have the right to vote privately and independently.

            b. You have the right to an accessible poll for you, ex: if you are in a wheelchair,
                 you can request a voting box that you can reach.

            c. You are allowed to vote as long as you are in the polling location before they close at 8:00pm.

 Hi MA! Donald Trump has announced his 2024 Presidential bid. What does this mean for Gen Z? Do we have any ideas on who else is going to run for President? I personally think it might be too early to say who is going to run, and I totally think Trump announced his bid for President after the midterms to try to outshine the 2022 Midterm Elections. However, this does mean a lot for Generation Z. Prime example 1: if you think Gen Z had high numbers in 2022, just wait until you see what the voter turnout in 2024. Especially if the Republican candidate is Donald Trump. However, the problem comes from that we do not know who will run from the Democratic Party. It is uncertain who that might be. Issues in Politics That Matter to Gen Z Voters

 Hi Gen Z! Did you know that we were what stopped the Red Wave from happening in the 118th Congress? Many political analysts were expecting that the House and Senate would flip from Blue to Red. Granted, we are still waiting for some key races in the House, but this not nearly the Red Wave republicans were looking forward to.  Give yourself a pat on the back. You voted, and that's a huge deal. There are some issues that our generation cares about more than others. Let's dive in! 1. Reproductive Rights: Within just a year, pro-choice Gen Z rose from 55% to 67% who support the women's right to choose.
